Got down the beach to be met with an increasing wind. Started to rig my 4.6
again but after watching a couple of the guys out on the water decided to
rig my 4.2 again, (never been used so much). After chatting with Iain and
listening to Peter Hart yesterday fine tuned my wave board, which made all
the difference. Got out on the water and flew out into the middle, the
water was messy around the launch site but once passed the rocks the sweel
picked up and the waves were huge at least logo high if not mast. Had lots
of good runs in and out plus some excellent waves coming back in. Now that
I adjusted my fin and straps no more spin out and could crank up wind
without fear and carve in the waves coming back into the beach. After
about 40mins the wind picked up more and struggled out in the middle
section. Had a few crazy catapults and my arms felt like they were about to
be pulled out of their sockets. Eventually made it back into the beach
avoiding the rocks and walked the 50m back to the shop with a huge smile on
my face but with a totally knackered look on my face. Spent the next hour
or so trying to get my arms back into use sat in the car as I only had my
summer suit and was feeling the cold today. After about an hour or so got
the word that some of the guys were moving to the inland sea so decided to
go with them as most guys were out on 3.7 and below.
